9 replies Hi, is Stranded name of the game licensed somehow?
I just found this and wanted to download it on Steam

It's also the same concept of the game.

(remove spaces in link) This might be Stranded 3 and DC secretly released it without telling us This is like Stranded 0.5
  This is like Stranded 0.5

I have a feeling whoever published this didn't ask DC for permission to use the name and it'd be a huge coincidence if they weren't aware of the existence of the Stranded we know

(also, this is the first time in over 9 years where a thread is made on this part of the forum, gg :P) @ medeiros: since DC doesnt own this name (S1 and S2 are fan projects not to be taken serious) basically everyone can make his own Stranded game, you too There is even Stranded Deep... Stranded as its name is not under any trademark, so anybody can use it as StirlizZ said. Point taken, however, just because someone can, doesn't mean they should; the reviews speak for themselves

Yeah! There are more at google playstore Ok, if we decided return to this thread I have my pile of branches to be thrown into the fire.
Once @DC said it pointless to add multiplayer in Stranded 2, like, what players suppose to do here together?
And then Rust happened. No, it HAPPENED. Who could possibly knew such game could bang this much. Watching in retrospective I think it would make lot of sense if S2 had native support for multiplayer. Basically another Rust. May be it still make sense to do so? Like launch servers, attract youtubers. Huh? This is influenced by many factors. Rust's success may not necessarily be replicated.
